Refunds & Cancellations Policy

At Aussie Pest Strike, we want you to feel confident when you book a pest control service with us. This Refunds & Cancellations Policy explains, in plain English, how cancellations work, when refunds apply, and what your rights are under Australian Consumer Law. If anything here is unclear, our team is happy to talk it through with you.

Changing or Cancelling Your Booking

We know plans change. You can cancel or reschedule your appointment free of charge as long as you let us know at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time. The easiest way to do this is to call us on 02 7235 0050 or email info@aussiepeststrike.com with your name, booking date and address.

If you give us more than 24 hours’ notice:

  • There is no cancellation fee.
  • Any deposit or prepayment you have made will be refunded in full, or credited to a rescheduled booking if you prefer.
  • We will help you find a new appointment time that suits you, at no extra cost.

Same-Day Cancellations and No-Access Appointments

When you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, or our technician arrives at your property and cannot gain access to carry out the work, a call-out fee may apply. This covers the time our technician has set aside for your job, along with travel and preparation costs that we cannot recover at short notice.

A no-access appointment includes situations where:

  • No one is home at the agreed time and we cannot reach you.
  • The property is locked or access is otherwise not possible.
  • The property has not been prepared as agreed (for example, areas we need to treat are inaccessible).

We will always try to contact you before classifying a job as a no-access appointment, and we will tell you the exact call-out fee before charging it. If a genuine emergency or unexpected event prevented you from being home, talk to us — we will always consider individual circumstances fairly.

When Refunds Apply

You may be entitled to a refund in the following situations:

  • You cancelled your booking with at least 24 hours’ notice and had already paid.
  • We were unable to deliver the service you booked and paid for.
  • The service was not delivered as agreed, and we are unable to fix the issue within a reasonable time.
  • You are entitled to a remedy under Australian Consumer Law (see below).

Where a refund is approved, we will return the money to your original payment method wherever possible.

Warranty Retreatment Is Free — Not a Refund

Many of our pest control services come with a service warranty period. If pest activity covered by your warranty returns during that period, we will come back and retreat the affected areas free of charge. This retreatment is our standard remedy and is not processed as a refund — it is usually the fastest and most effective way to solve the problem.

Warranty retreatments are subject to the conditions explained at the time of booking, such as following any preparation or prevention advice we give you. If a warranty retreatment does not resolve the issue, we will discuss further options with you, which may include a partial or full refund where appropriate.

Refund Processing Timeframes

Once a refund is approved, we process it promptly. Please allow 5 to 10 business days for the funds to appear in your account, depending on your bank or payment provider. We will confirm by email when your refund has been processed so you know it is on its way.

If 10 business days have passed and you have not received your refund, please contact us and we will follow it up straight away.

Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). This means our services must be:

  • Provided with due care and skill.
  • Fit for any purpose you have made known to us.
  • Delivered within a reasonable time when no timeframe has been set.

If we fail to meet one of these guarantees, you may be entitled to a remedy such as having the problem fixed, a repeat of the service, or a refund — depending on whether the failure is major or minor under the ACL. Nothing in this policy limits, excludes or replaces your rights under Australian Consumer Law. This policy sits alongside those rights, not above them.

How to Request a Cancellation or Refund

Getting in touch with us is easy. You can:

  • Call us on 02 7235 0050 during business hours — this is the fastest option, especially for same-day changes.
  • Email us at info@aussiepeststrike.com with your name, booking details and the reason for your request.
  • Visit our website at aussiepeststrike.com/ for more information about our services.

Please include your booking date, service address and any payment reference if you have one. This helps us locate your booking quickly and process your request without delay.

Our Fairness Promise

Aussie Pest Strike is a licensed Australian pest control business, and our reputation matters to us. If something has gone wrong, we would rather fix it than argue about it. We will always listen to your concerns, explain your options clearly, and work towards a fair outcome. If you are unhappy with how a refund or cancellation request has been handled, ask to speak with a manager and we will review it promptly.

This policy was last updated in 2025 and applies to all bookings made with Aussie Pest Strike (ABN [ABN]).
