Safety, Licences & Insurance

Pest control done properly is safe for your family, your pets and the environment. This page explains the licences we hold, the standards we follow, and the precautions we take on every job.

Is professional pest control safe? Yes. Licensed technicians use APVMA-registered products applied strictly to the label, follow Australian Standards such as AS 3660 for termite work, and give written re-entry instructions for every treatment. Aussie Pest Strike technicians are licensed, insured and police-checked.

Licences & Insurance

  • State pest management licences — every technician holds the licence required in the state they work in (SA or NSW).
  • Public liability insurance — full cover on every job, residential and commercial.
  • Police checks — all technicians are police-checked before entering customer homes.
  • Ongoing training — product updates, label changes and new techniques, refreshed annually.

Products We Use

We only use products registered with the APVMA (Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority) — the national regulator that assesses product safety before anything can be sold or used in Australia. Every product is applied strictly to its registered label: the legal document that dictates where, how much and how it can be used. We never use unregistered or imported products.

Standards We Follow

  • AS 3660 — the Australian Standard for termite management, covering inspections, barriers and baiting systems.
  • State licensing regulations — record-keeping, notification and application rules in South Australia and New South Wales.
  • Food safety programs — HACCP-aligned service for restaurants and food businesses, with audit-ready documentation.

Children, Pets & Sensitive Households

Tell us about kids, pets, fish tanks, vegetable gardens, pregnancy or health sensitivities when you book — we plan the treatment around them. That can mean choosing lower-tox options, treating while the house is empty, or adjusting where products are placed. You always receive written re-entry instructions before we leave.

What We Document

  1. What we found — pest species, activity level, conducive conditions.
  2. What we applied — product, placement and rate, per the label.
  3. What happens next — re-entry times, what to expect, and your 12-month warranty details.

Our Warranty

Every treatment is backed by our 12-month pest-free warranty: if the treated pests return within 12 months, we come back and re-treat free. Full details are on our warranty page.
